New Student Orientation for Postgraduate Students Fall 2026

This page is for you! We are looking forward to welcoming you to London. With this in mind, we are hosting 2 events so that you feel prepared to start your classes with us in late September.
Pre-Arrival Webinar
Wednesday, 9th September 2026, 4pm BST
Join the Student Affairs and Admissions Teams for a webinar to prepare for your arrival in London. You will meet the team, learn more about student accommodation, transport, visas for international students, working rights and student life at Richmond. We’ll host the event on Zoom, but if you are unable to make it, you can catch up with the recording on our YouTube channel.
On-site New Student Orientation

Join us for an in-person orientation for new postgraduate students joining us for Fall 2026. The day will include document checks (please bring your passport and a share code for you e-visa), a mandatory visa session, a session on accessing the University’s digital platforms, a session on life in London (with information about discounted travel, how to open a bank account, mobile phones in the UK, etc) and an academic session with your course leader.

Before you arrive on campus for orientation, please complete the following steps:
- Log on to your University Email account and change your password (instructions will be sent to you)
- Log on to Blackboard (with your updated credentials) and work through the resources for postgraduates
- Send in your photo for your student ID HERE
- If you are an international student, create a share could for your e-visa and send it to us HERE
- Join our WhatsApp Communications Groups (links on Blackboard) and meet new people before you arrive
