Peer Tutor

Peer Tutors are responsible for supporting students on a 1:1 basis with subject-specific advice and guidance related to academic success. Peer Tutors may tutor in a variety of different areas based on their expertise, but must be vetted by a faculty instructor who has taught them on the course they will be tutoring.

Minimum 3.0 GPA and DBS check required.

Closing date: Wednesday 15 April 2026 at midnight*

Cultural Ambassador

The Student Cultural Ambassador is responsible for supporting students from their home cultural background and/or region to access University systems, to navigate services and to better understand University policies and procedures.  Cultural Ambassadors provide advice and mentorship to students and assist Student Affairs with culturally-relevant events, activities, and publications.

Resident Advisor (Stay Club North Acton, London)

The position of Resident Advisor is a part-time, live-in position within the Student Affairs Department. Resident Advisors are responsible for assisting with the maintenance of a safe and healthy living environment, the development of a positive, productive living community and general administrative duties that include checking in with residents regularly, hosting hall meetings, programming events and activities and attending to health and safety issues. RAs benefit from reduced housing costs and a Zone 3 Travelcard.

Student Hub Assistant

Student Affairs

Student Hub Assistants are an important first line of support for students on campus. Hub Assistants staff the reception desk in the Student Hub on the London Chiswick campus and are responsible for assisting the Student Affairs Department with undertaking a range of duties including administrative tasks such as completing student letter requests, publishing information on the University’s media platforms, supporting the collection of student data, promoting and advertising events, greeting students in the hub and responding to basic queries and/or filtering requests to each department and any other duties as may be assigned.

Human Resources Student Assistant

The Office of Human Resources

The Human Resources Student Assistant reports to the Deputy Head of HR and will undertake a range of administrative duties to support the smooth running of the HR office. This is a great opportunity for the right person to gain experience and insight into HR, as well as helping strengthen a CV and/ or job application in related fields.  
 Candidates applying for this position should possess strong interpersonal skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in a written context. Ability to work well with minimum supervision is essential. 
 Applicants must be full-time, registered students at Richmond American University London and remain in good academic and social standing for the duration of the contract. The successful candidate will be required to obtain a Certificate of Good Conduct from their home country or a Basic Disclosure and Barring Service check in the UK for this position.

We employ talented students to represent RAUL throughout the year across our social media channels and the ‘I am Richmond’ blog. As a RAUL Digital Ambassador, you will join a vibrant Marketing, Recruitment and Communications team and help
social media coverage for RAUL events such as open days, vox pop events, public lectures etc
showcase the RAUL story through the ‘I am Richmond’ blog
support promoting RAUL across social media channels including microblogging, student takeovers and messaging
work towards increasing Richmond’s share of voice and content engagement (likes, shares and positive comments)


Student Recruitment Ambassador

Being a Student Ambassador is an excellent way to earn while you learn, gain valuable work experience, develop new skills, and build your future network. Student Ambassadors will have the opportunity to work with people of all ages, nationalities and backgrounds and it is an excellent way of demonstrating your communication and team-building skills, working on a variety of events, both on campus and around London.
Ideally, you will be passionate about RAUL and eager to share your best uni experiences with prospective students, overseas visitors, and school leavers, through a range of activities:
-Deliver campus tours
-Help with open days and other on-campus events
-Give presentations in schools and colleges
-Represent RAUL at HE Fairs
-Online web chats
-Telephone calls to applicants

Commitment required
The post is completely flexible around your studies as academic commitments should come first. Student Ambassadors will be informed of events such as Open Days and Applicant Days taking place each semester and can sign up to work as desired. International students should ensure that they are not working more than the maximum number of hours as detailed on their visa during term-time
