Student Cultural Ambassador
Department of Student Affairs, starting Fall 2025
Richmond’s Cultural Ambassadors work with new students to help them integrate into the Richmond community. They offer advice and guidance about how to access University services and programmes and how to abide by internal policies and procedures while studying at the University. Student Cultural Ambassadors will play an important role in new student orientation and may be asked to resolve issues that arise due to cultural differences.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about studying at RAUL and will be interested in supporting students from their region to make the most of their student experience. We are hiring cultural ambassadors for the following regions: the Americas, Europe & UK, Asia, Africa & Oceania. Expected hours are 5 or fewer per week but may be higher at peak times.

Student Hub Assistant
Department of Student Affairs, starting Fall 2025
Student Hub Assistants support the work of the Student Hub at the Chiswick Park Campus by greeting guests, answering frequently asked questions, by managing queues for service and by completing administrative tasks as assigned by the departments within the hub including Student Affairs, Registry Services, Student Finance and IT Support.
The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced, busy environment and will be able to both multi-task and prioritise tasks as they come in. Although training will be provided, successful applicants are expected to have a working knowledge of the University’s operational and academic departments and some experience accessing student support services. Expected hours are 8 or fewer per week. Student Hub Assistants are not expected to work during term breaks.

Peer Mentor
School of Liberal Arts, starting Fall 2025
Peer mentors work alongside the School for Liberal Arts faculty to support students enrolled on modules at level 3 (Tools for Change) and level 5 (Service Learning). Peer mentors ensure students make the most of their academic course by offering advice on how to access academic support, study skills and time management support and by assisting students to navigate and make use of resources on and off campus.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for liberal arts study and will enjoy meeting new people and supporting them in the early stages of their University careers. Expected hours are 1 to 2 hours per week in the classroom.

Peer Tutor
The Department of Student Affairs, starting Fall 2025
Peer tutors offer one to one tutorial support for students in specific subject areas. All applicants must have a faculty recommendation to apply and a minimum GPA of 3.0 or better. Although tutors manage their own bookings with students requesting tutorials directly, they are required to report back to the department of Student Affairs on who they see and what they cover in tutoring sessions.
Occasionally tutors may be asked to support group tutoring sessions or work withindividuals who require support with basic study skills or time management.
The ideal candidate will be a high academic achieving student who can support others within their area of expertise. Expected hours are between 2 and 8 per week but vary greatly according to the demand of the student population.
Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until 31 August 2025.

Resident Director
The Department of Student Affairs, starting Fall 2025
Resident Directors encourage a positive student experience at Richmond by providing live-in residential support at the University’s residence halls (Stay Club North Acton). This includes ensuring the health and safety of all residents and offering continuous orientation related to studying and living in London. Resident Directors also serve as the liaison between the building management team onsite and the University’s Student Accommodation and Community Support Officer within the Department of Student Affairs. Resident Directors have oversight of the Resident Advisors who work in their building.
The ideal candidate will be familiar with communal living and have some experience leading teams within a student leadership context. Expected hours are 15 per week but can increase at peak times like residential move in and move out.

Resident Advisor
The Department of Student Affairs, starting Fall 2025
Resident Advisors live and work within the University’s residence halls (Stay Club, North Acton) and offer advice, guidance and support for studying and living in the UK. Resident Advisors communicate important policies and procedures, follow up with residents requiring additional support and programme events and activities to bring the community together. Resident Advisor are expected to adhere to the health and safety requirements of the building and to report any concerns back to the Resident Director.
The ideal candidate will be familiar with communal living and have a keen interest in helping new students acclimatise to their new environment. Expected hours are 8 per week but can increase at peak times like residential move in and move out.

We employ talented students to represent RAUL throughout the year across our social media channels and the ‘I am Richmond’ blog. As a RAUL Digital Ambassador, you will join a vibrant Marketing, Recruitment and Communications team and help
social media coverage for RAUL events such as open days, vox pop events, public lectures etc
showcase the RAUL story through the ‘I am Richmond’ blog
support promoting RAUL across social media channels including microblogging, student takeovers and messaging
work towards increasing Richmond’s share of voice and content engagement (likes, shares and positive comments)
